Apple Maple Bourbon Soy Candle

Nothing says Fall like the scent of sweetly spiced apples, whether in cider, pie, or your favorite shot of bourbon. In the Firelands especially this is a favorite time of year as local orchards overflow, creating the perfect base for so many recipes. This year I decided to take my ode to apples out of the kitchen and into the distillery with Apple Maple Bourbon. This candle starts out with top notes of apple, maple, and vanilla, and then develops into a warm boozy glow as it burns. The traditional fall spices are less pronounced in this recipe, providing a subtly spiced yet indulgent and familiar background.

Boozy, bright, and warm, Apple Maple Bourbon is an upscale alternative to traditional apple candles that is sure to set the mood for Fall. Handmade using clean-burning, non-toxic ingredients, this candle was an early best seller at live markets this fall.

Our 4 oz soy candles burn for 25+ hours, 8 oz for 45+ hours, and 12 oz for 80+ hours with proper care (see below).

Made with pure soy wax, paper woven cotton wicks, and phthalate and prop 65 free fragrance oils. This is a Clean Plus candle.

Candle Care: For best results, keep the wick trimmed and burn in 4-hour intervals or at least until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass before extinguishing (2-3 hours – the first burn will take the longest). Light your candle without trimming the wick for the first burn and then trim to 1/8–1/4 inch between uses or while burning if necessary to maintain a small, steady flame. If the flame exceeds 1 inch tall, blow out, trim, and relight.  Burning a candle for too little time will cause “tunneling” and burning for too long (without trimming) is dangerous. Never burn a candle unattended or overnight to avoid overheating or cracking the jar.
