Brandied Pear Soy Candle

This was a surprise addition to the collection this year – something I tested without high expectations, but which then performed so beautifully I had to include it. Brandied Pear is a gourmand’s candle – rich, sophisticated, and perfectly fruity. It reminds me of a fancy pear tart, warm and glazed with brandy, but without the crust. It also reminds me of my dad who loved pears and my grandma who loved brandy. I always loved pears, but never got into brandy – this candle makes me wonder if I missed something.

Brandied Pear is a new personal favorite, starting with top notes of fresh pear and cask-aged brandy, followed by a hint of spice on a mellow base of vanilla and sugar. Upscale and indulgent, yet refined, Brandied Pear creates a sophisticated gourmand atmosphere perfect for kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms.

Our 4 oz soy candles burn for 25+ hours, 8 oz for 45+ hours, and 12 oz for 80+ hours with proper care (see below).

Made with pure soy wax, paper woven cotton wicks, and phthalate and prop 65 free fragrance oils. This is a Clean Plus candle.

Candle Care: For best results, keep the wick trimmed and burn in 4-hour intervals or at least until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass before extinguishing (2-3 hours – the first burn will take the longest). Light your candle without trimming the wick for the first burn and then trim to 1/8–1/4 inch between uses or while burning if necessary to maintain a small, steady flame. If the flame exceeds 1 inch tall, blow out, trim, and relight.  Burning a candle for too little time will cause “tunneling” and burning for too long (without trimming) is dangerous. Never burn a candle unattended or overnight to avoid overheating or cracking the jar.
