- Always burn at least until the melt pool reaches the edge before extinguishing (2-4 hrs, first burn takes longest)
- Trim the wick to ⅛-¼ inch between burns
- Trim while burning, if necessary, to maintain a steady flame no taller than 1 inch
- Burning for too little time causes tunneling
- For the longest life, keep wicks trimmed short (1/8 inch) and allow more time for the melt pool to develop
- For stronger fragrance, start with a fuller wick (¼ inch) to develop the melt pool quickly, then trim down
